Join Kristin Papp for a creative afternoon of mandala rock painting and learning about the seven chakras! This three-hour workshop is broken down into two segments. The first two hours will be spent painting mandala stones with a review of the individual chakras. Yogis are provided stones, paint, brushes and a summary of each chakra and are encouraged to bring a pillow/bolster to sit on. What is a vision board? A vision board is a collage of images, pictures and affirmations of your dreams and all of the things that make you happy. It can also be called a dream board or an action board.
We will have white boards tape, glue and some magazines. Bring some of your favorite inspiring images and power words, your favorite scissors, your dreams and an open heart. Shake It Up:
Discover the form of Qigong that has often been likened to a freestyle dance: Shaking. Using physical shaking and targeted movements to release stagnation and enhance circulation throughout the entire body.
Energy in Motion:
Learn two forms of dynamic Qigong: Pulling Down the Heavens and Golden Ball. Emphasizes rooting into and drawing from Earth energy, then begin to guide this energy flow throughout the body by learning about and embodying the 8 Actions of Qi.
Stretch It Out:
Stretching is the Way of the Spirit, opening the joints (the Spiritual Gates) and the meridians. In these stretches we will focus on the lower body circulation, preparing you for seated meditation.
Energy in Stillness:
Microcosmic Orbit is a meditation that has almost endless health benefits for the whole body (physical, mental and energetic health). Here you will learn the Fire Cycle form of Microcosmic Orbit and discover how to enhance energetic flow along the spine and Governing Vessel by opening and releasing your 5 Spinal Gates (distinct from the Chakras, yet equally important for one’s health).

-Preparation for Golden Ball, including Warm Up Qigong and standing, guided Neigong to root and access Earth energy (Meditation with focused Intention).

-Class covering 5 movements, integrating and balancing the elements and their associated organ systems within the body: Heart Fire, Kidney Water, Liver Wood, Lung Metal and Spleen Earth.
-Key benefits: Balancing energetics of the internal organs has diverse healing effects, the most immediate being stress relief, systemic circulation, enhanced energy levels, pain relief (especially in muscles and tendons) and more…after practice, the benefits only increase and become more deeply rooted.
